A heartwarming reunion between two beloved childhood characters is slated to hit the big screen this summer. Winnie the Pooh and a grown-up Christopher Robin will embark on a new journey in Disney’s latest live-action film—and the teaser trailer for “Christopher Robin” has social media shedding a few tears.

In the teaser trailer, Christopher Robin can be seen reuniting with his childhood friend Winnie the Pooh. According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie follows an “adult Christopher [who] has returned from World War II and now lives with his wife and young daughter in London, where he works for a company selling luggage.” As he questions what to do about his demanding job, Christopher Robin comes face to face with Pooh, “who helps him to rediscover the joys of life” as they embark on a new journey together.

The film stars Ewan McGregor (Christopher Robin), Hayley Atwell (Evelyn), Bronte Carmichael (Madeline), Mark Gatiss (Robin’s boss Keith Winslow), Chris O’Dowd (Tigger), Brad Garrett (Eeyore), Nick Mohammed (Piglet), Peter Capaldi (Rabbit), Sophie Okonedo (Kanga), Toby Jones (Owl) and Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh). Cummings has voiced more than 400 characters throughout his career, including roles in numerous Disney films and the iconic voice of the willy, nilly, silly old bear.

In an interview with Oh My Disney, director Marc Forster shared what made him want to get involved in the classic, nostalgia-filled story. “When I heard the concept and idea of the story, I thought I wanted to do it. It’s like re-visiting your childhood, and that was super exciting because it’s a beloved character but a truly original concept,” he said. “It’s not re-telling an old concept in that sense. You take the character and put him in a whole new situation, and I thought that was brilliant … I felt, in the times we live in, I want to see something that gives me hope. There’s nothing better than getting a hug by Pooh.”

The whimsical tale is set to be released in theaters Aug. 3.
